Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M)

The Swedish multi-national retail company is expecting a good year with the upcoming collaborations in it's agenda. Personally we believe most high-end brands that collaborate with H&M produce very low end catastrophic pieces (last year's Versace was nothing pretty). Hopefully, this year with the collaborations of Mason Martin Margiela, Anna Dello Russo, and Lanvin, there's a turn around for H&M Collabs.

This is the only piece from the Lanvin collab, releasing November 20,  that I found to be remotely decent. All of the women's pieces and the rest of the men's looked like a Forever 21 collaboration (not a good one either).

H&M disclosed, with the preview of the image above, the collaboration with Anna Dello Russo for an accessories collection releasing October 4th. From the looks of it another Forever 21 outcome collection, i'm terribly excited to see the finishing pieces, emphasis on the terribly.

Lastly, the only collaboration i'm anticipating, an Autumn/Winter collaboration with Mason Martin Margiela to be released November 15th.
I'm interested to find out what will become of this collaboration, I don't expect anything less than colossal from MMM, but in works with H&M you never know.
It will be an opportunity for H&M regulars to get a taste of high-end pieces through the structural and exceptionally tailored works of Margiela.

“We are very happy to present Mason Martin Margiela pieces with H&M, offering a new interpretation of our vision. The democracy of our fashion has always been at the centre of our creativity, and the collaboration with H&M allows us to push this instinct further. We will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise all.” -Mason Martin Margiela
